GENERAL LIONFISH INFORMATION

LIONFISH

With an accelerating speed the invasive lionfish has been spreading around the Caribbean since late 1980s. Research confirms that lionfish can be very harmful to our reefs. They do not have natural predators and eat a lot. On top of that they lay over 2 million eggs a year.  However, by catching lionfish we are able to slow this process down and give reefs and marine life a chance to survive.
