Founded in 2010, Lionfish Caribbean is on a mission to protect the fragile ecosystem of the Caribbean reefs while promoting sustainability, awareness and education.
Lionfish are beautiful but deadly invaders with no natural predators in the Caribbean. They can devastate up to 79% of juvenile reef fish populations. What started from just catching lionfish and leaving them on the reef grew into a community of 50 divers and a full concept. Together we save 75 million reef fish yearly and turn them into amazing and delicious products.
Our vision: control the lionfish population by adding value to the fish and creating demand. We are not just a lionfish brand or restaurant, we are a movement, community owned and on a mission to preserve the reefs for future generations.
Our impact
Every lionfish we remove means a healthier reef. More than 257,000 invasive lionfish removed from our reefs, 75 million reef fish saved every year, 15 years protecting Caribbean waters since 2010, and over 50 trained conservation divers.

Visit our lionfish educational store and restaurant in Kura Hulanda Village, an UNESCO heritage area in the heart of Willemstad, Curaçao. Taste freshly caught lionfish, shop our lionfish jewelry, join a workshop and pick up lionfish apparel and other ocean protection gifts.
Address: Kura Hulanda Village, Willemstad, Curaçao. Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday, store 9am to 5pm. Kitchen 12pm to 3:30pm, Thursdays also 5pm to 8:30pm. We are a cashless store, card payments only.
Unique experiences
Jewelry workshop, $99 per person, Wednesdays 2pm to 4:30pm and Saturdays 10am to 12:30pm, including two pieces of jewelry, a LionDish and drinks.
Demo & Dish, $49 per person, the deeper lionfish talk, the fish cleaning demo and the LionDish without making jewelry.
